house rental and PX in Cam Humphreys
I might PCS to camp Hum with my husband from Yongsan after 4 years living in Seoul. A little bit scared since life is so good and convenient in Seoul. How is the suition of off post house? Is it easy to find a nice apartment/house there? Is Px big there? Is movie free on post there? About how long it takes from Camp Hum to Seoul in a regular day? Thank you.

Re: house rental and PX in Cam Humphreys
I think the apartments are nice here but I don't know how they compare to apartments in Seoul. Just make sure you look at least 5 different apartments and it's even a good idea to have two different realtors to show you different places. The PX is kind of small. It's definitely smaller than the PX on Yongsan. I've never driven to Seoul, so I don't know how long it takes to get there.

Re: house rental and PX in Cam Humphreys
Driving to Seoul takes approx. 2 hours. It could be a little less or a lot more...depending on traffic.

That same drive has taken me nearly 4 hours... The abouve situation is going to and from both places. (Seoul and Humphreys) The difference between Seould and Humphreys is like moving from Nashville, TN to Dothan Al.

I agree with Chuck! Way to go! I can't think of a better comparison than Nashville Tn. and Dothan, AL!
Of course, we hope that eventually Camp Humphreys will grow up to be the shining city on the hill that General Bell is striving to build. But it will take time, and lots of money. Pray that our government will continue funding the Army's dream for an oasis on Korea, with family housing for everyone! |
