Well, I have another visa question to add to all the other ones.
I went to the site that everyone said to go to, and it says there is a fee. I thought that it was free for US residents.(I live too far away from a Korean Consulate, so I will have to do this online/by mail) Is there a special kind of visa I am to apply for that is free for military dependents? I am still a bit confused about all of this, even after reading all of the advice from other threads. It is best to get the Visa state side right? Also, one last thing, my two kids will need visas too right? Thank You in advance for all of your help! |

Re: another visa question
A-3 visas, which is the one you need, is free.

Re: another visa question
Yes, your kids do need a passport and visa. If it's possible to get the visa before you arrive, go ahead and do it. It's just one less thing to worry about when you get here. However, we just got my son's visa and passport at Osan and it took less then 10 minutes. It just depends on your situation.

Re: another visa question
He did the exact same thing to me. My husband called him but then my husband couldn't tell me what he said so I called him back. All he would say was "your husband understood me", over and over. I thought he was very rude and I had to bite my tongue to not be rude back. But, yes we got his visa and SOFA stamp too. We just brought my husband's orders, a memo from his commander stating his DEROS, a copy of his ID, the baby's passport and the birth certificate from the consulate to the immigration office at the AMC terminal. If your baby is going to be here for longer than 30 days, they have to have a visa.
