Comin' to K-town
On my way to korea next month. Got my dragon hill 1 nighter and have read the tons of post's here about getting multiple realtors when looking for a place. SO, what I wanna know is....
1) are there neighborhoods to avoid 2) where can i get a hyundai galloper 3) lemme get this right....OHA isn't like BAH in that if da house cost 1,200,000 won and i'm allowed 1,500,000 the army will only pay the amount of 1,200,000....but what about the additional "utility pay" thing that i've seen listed on dfas? i've forgotten the 18 other questions, but i'll be back with them. Thanks. |

Re: Comin' to K-town
yup....know my unit and the whole nine. already checked with housing and they are above the needed numbers to allow living off post. in refercence to the oha/utility thingy...how would the utility pay be yours to keep? are the utilities included in your rent, and as such that utility money is yours, or is it that you decide how much is spent on utilities based off use, and as such, ultimately decide how much utilities are? i've heard horror stories about electricity bills and such off post.....whats the happy haps on that?

Re: Comin' to K-town
Your rent and utilities are combined into one payment in your LES. Pay your rent and then pay your utilities.
If your max rent is 1,500,000won but your sign an agreement for 1,200,000won then you will only recieve 1,200,000won for rent. You will recieve about 700,000won for utilities, if your utilities are 300,000won then you can pocket 400,000 won. Are you a CH-47 guy?
