Question Housing Questions.

DH has been at Camp Hump since March. We finally decided to join him there and are now awaiting official orders. As with most new people my main concern at this point is housing. I am VERY sensitive to noise so I'd like to know how the Korean Apartments rate on that. Is it even possible to find a townhouse with garden within a reasonable distance of post? My girls are 7 and 2 and we homeschool so a garden would be so nice for them. Any websites were I can view listings?

TIA
Funda

Re: Housing Questions.

Dont worry about housing, the one good thing about living in Korea is the amount of housing to choose from. My advice tell your realitor exactly what you want! My husband looked for months and went through several realitors before he found our apartment. If you want it quiet, you will most likely have to live a little ways from post. We live about 1 1/2-2 miles from post (which is a hike without a car) but we live in a townhouse style apartment complex, there are yards and even a playground on site. I have to small girls and outside play was very important to us. Good Luck with your house hunting. :)

Cool Re: Housing Questions.

We were lucky and got an American Dodds School single teacher living upstairs. He lived alone, and always went out for dinner. But he did wear shoes, and occasionally came in at 2AM. Failing a single person with no kids, Koreans are the best neighbors, as they don't wear shoes in the house, and normally do not play the TV very loudly, or late.
Monica is right-lots of choices. Welcome to the Forum!
