Just wondering if there is a website for Camp humphrey's I can go to about jobs. I just wanted to check so maybe I could have a good idea where to look or maybe even have a job before we get there. Also does anyone know what you need (degree/cert) to teach or sub?

Sorry, NCS's spouse will not beable to work on post.

I posted the letter somewhere on this board, but that was the jist of it. You must be CS to work on post (any job) from now on.

There is one job opening on there. I'm not sure of a specific website dedicated to job openings. Most of the job openings that I have seen have been through a monthly type of magazine that is put out here. Also, the post commander's wife sends out frequent emails about local events, job openings, etc.

As far as substituting...I think it only takes a high school diploma.

EMPLOYMENT CHECKLIST:
For up to date information contact the ACS Employment Assistance Program Manger at 753-8321/8401.
USAG Humphreys is a community with a small Post Exchange, Theater, Bank, Credit Union, Food Court and Commissary. Korean Nationals fill many of the employment positions available, however, there are some opportunities for family members and service members desiring employment after hours. The following is a list of items that should be brought with you in order to acquire a position.
School Transcripts Updated Resume and/or SF-171
Letters of Recommendation Professional Certificates
Special Awards/Honors. Volunteer Career Portfolio
Name and Address of 3 References
If you are a family member, it is a necessity to also bring these items, not only for employment, but for overall preparedness.
Passport Social Security Card Spouse Orders
Marriage Certificate Birth Certificate
Medical Records Shot Records
Another avenue of consideration, for family member or service members is volunteering. There are many volunteer opportunities at USAG Humphreys such as Youth Services, Jordan Recreation Center . Arts and Crafts, Army Community Service, American Red Cross and the Hospital. Volunteering is a great way to learn and maintain skills, continue your education, introduce you to the community, and locate employment opportunities. The Volunteer Coordinators Phone number is 753-8321.

I thought that ncs spouses could still work on post but they weren't eligible to use the spouse preference?

Cool Re: Jobs question for NCS spouses

Always feel free to tell us you love our Forum! We eat it up!

Now- there is a website for DODDS Schools. You can probably find it as well as I can. Teaching there will require certain teaching prerequisites, as you may know.

Outside in Korea, it will depend on a lot of things. If you are a dependent or military here on an A-3 visa, you need to apply for a different visa in order to teach legally. If you want to teach for free, as a volunteer, there is no need to get a teaching visa. Korean Government Schools will be hiring more English teachers as the Government is now requiring English in schools. in the case of Government approved conversation classes, most any 4 year degree will be accepted, and you must be a Native English speaker, (i.e. American, British, Australian, New Zelander, etc.)
This is only basic information. Some conditions may vary, but local conversation schools where teachers with questionable degrees may work are being scrutinized by the government.
