That's cute! But being in such a "politically correct" sort of world, I could imagine a Korean person getting a little offended by it implying the stereotype that Koreans are all dog-eaters (even if this picture was made and taken by a Korean). Nah! Scratch that last sentence...it's a funny picture! ![]() |

I have no problem with Koreans eating dogs. I just get a weird feeling when I hear dogs yelping in my neigborhood.
This is probably how many Hindus feel when they see a person eating a slab of beef. Did you know there is even dog flavored Raman? I am not sure if it is real but I saw a packet. Last edited by mike : 12-18-2005 at 02:13 PM. |

I've never done it, personally, but I never really saw a problem with eating dogs. There are a lot of nations out there who didn't (don't) have the luxury of "chilled, never frozen", Black Angus beef like we did and they simply did what they can to feed themselves. However, the North Koreans have gone too far by eating other people!
You make an awesome point with the beef and the Hindus. I always kept that argument in mind whenever there was a conversation on eating dogs. Anyway, I think what pisses off the Koreans is the dog-eating thing just happened to become a label stuck with only them, especially when Jay Leno cracked that joke on national television. Many other countries eat dogs. |

I love Squirrel gravy and biscuits! That is a common delicacy in the Appalachia hills of the Eastern United States. Squirrels are rodents. Rats are rodents. The Chinese eat lots of rats! Most Koreans really get upset if you mention that Chinese delicacy. The various bugs, worms and insects we see folks eat on Fear Factor and other TV shows seem to turn a lot of folks off, also. Bow Wow! ( Mang Mang in Korean!)
To each his own. |

I'd say the most unusual delicacy I've ever eaten were frog legs and those Korean "Pbun-Dae-Gi's" (steamed silk worms, I think)...and maybe a few little ants and spiders when I am asleep.
It's true...the frog legs taste like chicken, but I'd say the texture is more like duck. The bbun-dae-gi's...YUCK! I almost threw up. But Koreans really like them. |
