VoIP tech can reduce your telephone cost but there are a lot of problems yet such as noise, break off status, etc.....

next is VoIP packets flowing.
- incoming call : no cost
telephone wire -> PBX -> VoIP gateway -> ur phone.

- outgoing call : half cost of general telephone.
ur phone -> PBX -> VoIP gateway ->ADSL Modem -> ur ISP -> Internet.

Thanks for explaining the packet flow Sshong. That makes a lot more sense to me, on why VoIp has such poor call quality in comparsion to land lines.

Hello ! Thanks for ur CV. I think you have a good experience.
I also have no a lot of experience for VoIP but most important on VoIP, it's a quality of internet line.
I think it's not good quality such as telephone wire. so it's cause a many noise. Also, VoIP packets are sensitive to ur internet speed.

thats a lot bigger then my VOIP gateway :P

BTW, how's quality of call ur VoIP ?

it actually does wonderful, it does better quality then if i phone from to the US on the korean lines.

it doesn't even do bad when both lines are being used at once though it does have issues with some routers..
