I'm not sure if this has anything to do with your problem, but it's a problem I had with my usb-headset and skype. If you plug in the headset after opening the program, the computer will change over to the headset, but the Skype would continue using the settings that were on when you turned on the program. If you plug in the headset before opening yahoo, you may not have any problems.

Re: My headset problem.

Skype is a computer based VOIP system.

offering free PC to PC calls

and reasonable PC to phone for 2cents a min, as well as phone to PC for like 10000 for 3 months and 30000won for a year (you get an actual phone number)

as for the problem your currently having. i'd guess it was a port forwording issue.... though that really doesn't make sence.... since you can be heard inside of korea but not outside of it

Mr. Joe is on a distinguished road
Cool Re: My headset problem.

Doutdes may have the answer- Shsong first bought a headset/mike with a USB connection. He was always able to hear me, but when he tried to talk, I heard half of a "Hello", but nothing after that. I have experienced intermittent connections on USB, (on Korean built connectors), so he apparently tried a standard two plug headset next. Same thing happened- I heard the first part of a "Yoboseo", then it died., and no more sound. He says his friend can hear him. I have no problem with other people on Yahoo in all locations. I would think it was his setup, but he reinstalled and tried everything, including a new headset! So I'll have to check mine again. I don't use the latest version of Yahoo Messenger, as it contains some accessions I don't want to give. Maybe he has 360, or the latest version that can tie to phones, etc.

Shsong- make sure the headset is plugged in before turning on Yahoo. We will try again soon.
