Hi buddy !
No ! it's my old PC's CPU. I'm going to buy NEW PC which has Intel dual core 2 CPU 3.2 Ghz, 1G RAM, SATA2 250G HDD, Gforce 512M video card, 22" LCD Monitor.
My old PC will use Linux system such as firewall, ftp server, webserver, proxy server. I will make a Home Network at my home.

Re: Intel Pentium 3 Processor Pics.

you really don't need a 512mb video card since there most likely just going to give you a crappy one with a lot of ram.

as for the CPU since its Intel 3.2ghz it means there giving you one of the old Pentium-Ds. you should try and get a Core 2 Duo E4300 or a E6300

as they are faster, cooler, and more energy effect

Re: Intel Pentium 3 Processor Pics.

Yeah, just like what Taichan said. I think you can get a good deal on the Core 2 Duo E4300 or E6300. Just because it is running at 1.9Ghz or 1.8Ghz, it is actually faster than the P4 3.2 Ghz. If you have money to spend on a good video card, just get the 8800GTS 320Mb. I think that would be plentiful for your use. Personally, I'd like the All-in-Wonder card from ATI though, so that I have the option of not getting a TV.

Re: Intel Pentium 3 Processor Pics.

Moonsite, shsong doesn't strike me as a gamer which means that video card is INSANE over kill for his needs

an x1300, 7300gs/gt would more then fit his needs and be $200-250 cheaper

I don't think so. Special Force game doesn't play on RAM less than 128M VGA Card RAM. So, I need VGA card which has memory more than 128M.

Re: Intel Pentium 3 Processor Pics.

ram isn't the most important part of a video card.

they made nvidia 5200s with 512mb of ram. the card could barely use 128mb of it.

ram is one of those ploys card manufactures use to make people pay more for a cheap video card.

till you get into the 7950gt/7900gtx/x1900 cards 256mb of video ram is more then enough, till a few months ago i was still using a 128mb nv6800

the card was able to keep up with most of the same cards in a higher price range with 256mb of ram

also note that i'm sleepy so i might not be writing that clear
