By Seoul Tower ~ are you referring to Namsan Tower?

There is a revolving restaurant at the top. I don't know if it's changed, but Koreans have been saying since the time it opened, it's a special restaurant because of it's location and also quite unique...but the food is terrible.

At least that's the reputation it's always had...

Admittedly - because I've never heard that it's improved, I've never gone there to eat.

Re: Restaurant Help

I would personally recommend Wood and Brick. I was there for my birthday last year and that place is amazing! If you search under my name on here, there are several other fantastic restaurants that I sort of reviewed during my time in Seoul.

The place in Namsam Tower is too gimicky and touristy... save your money and try someplace that is worth the loot.

Re: Restaurant Help

Don't go to Seoul Tower.

In Iteawon there is a Geckos on the Terrence. It's in the ally behind KFC. You'll have to look for it. But it's really romantic. Go check it out first.

Re: Restaurant Help

Wood and Brick kicks the ass of ANYTHING in Itaewon... trust me on that!

Gecko's Terrace is nice, the Bulgarian place is pretty good, Buddha's Belly is quite good, but Wood and Brick is light years above any of them. There is also another place near City Hall that I will have to look up that is fantastic too.

Re: Restaurant Help

I found it.. the place is called Top Cloud...
It is located on the 33rd story of the Millennium Plaza (Chongno Tower) , which is the weird football shaped building that is several blocks away from City Hall. If you want a map, I can provide one but here is their website: http://www.topcloud.co.kr

Re: Restaurant Help

I found this on another forum when I was looking for the wood and brick website... I am NOT endorsing any of this, just shring the info!

Tanto Tanto in Hongdae- (next to Gold Bar), good, reasonably priced, classy Italian place

Everest near Dongdaemun station- Nepalese (but just like Indian to my british taste buds)- [seems like Dongdaemun has got a lot going for it right now eh?]

Wood and Brick- Hongdae and Gwanghwamun- great Italian and deli stuff, but pricey

Aimo e Nadia - Seocho-Dong,Seocho-Gu- great Italian again, the advantage here being that you can bring your own wine (and stick around drinking it until 1am)

Ganga Blue- Seoul Finance Center Gwanghwamun- Indian food in a classy setting

La Tre Campane- Hongdae (in the backstreet behind Seokyo hotel, towards Hapjeong station) - best pizza in Seoul

Gecko's - Itaewon- good bar food

Bangkok- Itaewon- good thai food

the ramen place in the street next to Far East Broadcasting Co. - Hongdae (near Sangsu station) - authentic Japanese ramen

Suji's - Itaewon - Sunday roast, shepherds pie, chilli- homesickness food
