Re: Very good English Education Programe
안녕 eveyone! :)
I must say English is hard to learn when you are old, in fact any "language" is hard to learn. I do not understand why so many korean people wants to learn english when they dont even know their own language 국어. anyway that's beside the point. I often watch TV and see similar programs, I think most of korean people who knows or studied English, lacks on LISTENING and SPEAKING skills. I think the TV is the best way to learn another language. it helps if you like the program. IMHO :) |

Re: Very good English Education Programe
Sure...it's a little bit harder to learn a new language as you get older, but it's not THAT much harder. You can't get any younger, so if people use that excuse to not learn something new, then they really don't have the desire anyway. Learning a new language is very hard, regardless of the what it is, and most Americans can't really speak English either. Although we can communicate just fine, take a look around this forum and you'll see plenty of examples of bad English coming from native English speakers.
Bottom line...I say GO FOR IT! If you want to learn something new, then do it! An obligatory dead guy quote says, "The person that keeps saying that someone can not do something, should get out of the way of the person who is doing it." :-)

I don't have anything set up on MSN, Yahoo, or any of the others yet, but I'm sure I will once I get into Korea and have extra time on my hands. Next time you see me on the forum, give me a PM and maybe we could meet on the chat room that is set up here.

First, lets spell Program right! (No "e" at the end.) Yes, there is a British spelling 'programme", but most folks are interested in American English as a Universal Trade Language, so lets go with that. Some Australians and British Isles teachers here in Korea, are teaching conversational English. I sometimes read their blogs. Some conversation teachers are not really educated well in the language, and some say they don't have time to teach perfectly, just "Good enough to get by". Thanks for caring. Good Luck.
Mr. Shsong is our first member who has been learning English mostly from our forum and it's members for a long time! He has progressed rapidly and has shown much improvement. We can't do much for pronunciation here, but basic sentence structure will be helped greatly! We are very proud of him! Using this forum to provide a chat area for learning both English and Korean is great! If someone has the desire, there are a few qualified folks here who can help. Those that are fluent in both languages are encouraged to help also. Last edited by Mr. Joe : 08-29-2006 at 12:34 PM. |
