Update on kids learning English in Dongtan

At the Dongtan Youngnak Church, in particular. I had an earlier post about this. Now I have more detailed information. They still need the help of a native speaker of English at this church. All the training has been consolidated into a 40-minute period from 1300 to 1340 on Sundays. The pastor is Pastor Key-Door Shine, and his daughter is using the singing method, which sounds like fun, to teach 11 kids that are under seven years of age. She is assisted by another girl who learned her English in New Zealand.

Then the seven students who are age 7 and above, are being taught by Romi, who's from Nepal.

They have an important new resource ever since 21 December 2007, which is a library of 2500 books. Not sure how many are in English.

So, if this sounds like something you could volunteer for, and your native language is English, let me know and I will let the Pastor know. I'm at JDecker@uplink.net. Thanks in advance!
