Cool Readers don't need English help!

After seeing our forum, and the way we misspell a lot, no one wants our help with learning English!
Here are some commonly misspelled or misused words:
there their decent descent your you're English soldier sergeant etc.

Don't get your shorts in a wad over the various British spellings- they were here first, and we are the ones who changed! Both spellings should be accepted!

God bless all the hag-won school teachers here! As one told me, they don't have time to worry about spelling or pronunciation, they just get paid to teach spoken English! Like the military veterans, we thank you for your service!

Well Joe maybe a few references and discussing it might help a little.
Some useful URL's for writing that I have used
http://www.aresearchguide.com/ Many links to all writing Questions
http://www.uwe.ac.uk/library/resources/general/inf o_study_skills/harvard2.htm How to do referencing and citations in your work
http://www.bedfordstmartins.com/online/citex.html

I usually try to have a window open that provides me spell checking but not always like I should. What do you use?

When Forums comes up I have both Yahoo and Google Toolbars open above.
But sometimes it goes away. Maybe that is on my work computer, I 'll have to check... The Google tool bar displays "ABC- Check" and that is a spellchecker. All of us could learn to use it. I forget sometimes.

Your list might help!
Thanks for any ideas that might help this area survive. I suspect we don't have enough Koreans or non-native English speakers who have confidence in our ability to help them! (They don't realize we know words they can't find in books!)

I always use the Google toolbar. I didn't in the past, but when you type as much and as fast as I do, it is a must!

I used to know of a program you could use built straight into vBulletin boards (like this one) that would allow you to spell check everything.

How ever spell check is only useful if you misspell something not if you use the wrong word (IE Too to two, your you're, ect)

how ever it also required an external program to work

by the way

ITS COLOUR DAMNIT!

that has been my rant of the day, i wonder how meny spelling errors are in it
