Mr. Joe is on a distinguished road
SHSONG; I hope a real school teacher will see your question. I'm going to say the systems in the US and Korea are about the same, but the Korean system is more forceful and strict, at least in the middle and high schools. I do not know much about Korean Universities. I suspect you can buy your way through. In the US, you have to work hard to finish a University. If you are a good Football or Basketball player, some schools will give you "special help" to get a passing grade if you have difficulty studying. (Sports events bring lots of money to a school. ) You can party and drink and not listen, but it will cause you to get lower grades, and maybe take longer to graduate. But, keep trying and you can earn the SAME degree as a person who studies hard. The big difference will be- a company who wants to employ you will ask your grade-point average! The smart, hard worker will have higher grades, and probably get the job. In the US, no one is so ashamed of failing in school that they commit suicide. It is important to go to college for some people, but not as important as in Korea or Japan.

Most of Korean company is asking high grade at school , good result TOEIC,
Internatioal certificate.
But they give very low pay and too much put to work.
I hate heavy actualities.
They want to perfect a person but it is impossible.
I'm not a slave. I WANT TO FREEDOM !. FREEDOM ! FREEDOM !
