Korea, Places Of Interest
I am sure there are places of interest in Korea that everyone enjoys. I am not sure this was ever addressed in this forum. I beleieve a list of those places would be good for those interested.
Close to Yongsan; Han Gang Bridge: They have an island there where you can go down on the river. In the evening you can see the river cruise. The lights are also spectacular. Caveat; There are some homeless individuals who live on the island. They usually do not bother anyone though. Bldg 63 or Yuk Sam building; A nice view of Seoul especially watching the sunset. Although there is some type of activity going on both sides of the river the northern side of the Han is w/o a doubt the most active. There is also a Catholic Church with a really nice design and statues of Jesus and Mary on the outside. To get to the Church make an immediate right turn at the intersection before crossing the bridge. It is a little difficult to get to the church since the rail road tracks are also in the area. I would park and take the pedistrian bridge to the area. It is nice to see anytime it is better in the evening when the statues have the display lights on. There are more; however, I will wait to see how this thread takes off. |

A few more;
If you are in the Osan area you can go to the rest stop along the highway in Pyeongtaek. The bridge is an awesom view at night. Seoul If you take the drive up north along 77? about 30 Km you will come to Imgang Jang Park. You may even be able to cross the bridge to Cp Greaves. On your return trip besure to stop at the observatory. You can get some nice shots from atop this area. The image of the sunsetting on nK is pretty awesome on a clear day. You can also make the trip through Koyang Ri. |

Hey maybe we can post where these are on the Google Map we have??? Or will that make the map too crowded?

I guess we could place it on a map? Another idea may be to include places to shop. OTH the exchange rate is really down; therefore probably not much interest.
