Where do you get the best prices on tickets to Korea?

I am looking for the best place to buy tickets from the US to South Korea. I always use Expedia and Travelocity. Any better options? Anyone know any good travel agents?

Mike

This is where my wife got her tickets for her and Alek. $1200 one way.

Re: Where do you get the best prices on tickets to Korea?

Thanks M&M, I know about SATO. I will check here in Hawaii.

Chuck, there prices are cheaper, but I would have to fly from Hawaii to LA (totally wrong direction), then Japan and finally Korea for a 24 hour flight. I would rather spend the extra $300 of the other sites for a 10 hour flight!

I did not actually check the flight and which way it went. But your right $300 for a 10 hr flight is well worth it.

Re: Where do you get the best prices on tickets to Korea?

Often the best deals are found by going directly to each airline's website. Many have special promotions that you won't see on search engines like Travelocity or Expedia.

Alternatively, there are search aggregators that get their prices from many sources. Try www.kayak.com ... but they still can't search the special prices available only on an airline's website "specials" or "discounts" sections.

I've used www.bookingbuddy.com. It lets you check many different sites from their's. I've also used www.militarytogo.com, but I'm not sure if you have to be active duty to use it.

Re: Where do you get the best prices on tickets to Korea?

Last year I used www.airgorilla.com to buy a ticket one way from Phoenix-San Francisco-Seoul, and then on to Beijing for just over $800. Also, www.airfarewatchdog.com is great for finding great deals, even ones that only last for a few hours.

Re: Where do you get the best prices on tickets to Korea?

I have been looking at www.airfare.com which I think I got off one of the ads off this site. I'm going to be flying from Pittsburgh to Seoul and it's going to cost around $575 for my ticket.
