A very old movie comes into mind when you ask that question...I forgot the title but it stars a WWF Wrestler, Rowdy Roddy Piper. I think the movie is called "They Live!"
Anyway, in the movie, he puts on a pair of shades and begins to see the world differently. When he looks on to a dollar bill, it reads: "THIS IS YOUR GOD" So, shsong21, money is your God!  |

You really should keep that money under the mattress! Money has different meanings to everyone. What does money mean to Paris Hilton? Everything! Money has simply replaced the requirement to trade goods and services directly. Instead of telling someone, "I will fix your TV if you fix my car," you simply accumulate money from filing TVs and pay the guy to fix your car. Money represents the total time and effort you have contributed to society! Money is used as a way to value other peoples worth to society. When you pay a doctor $400 for one hour of work, you are saying, "his one hour of time is worth 10 hours of mine." That is if you make the equivalent to $40 an hour. Each pay day you are given the means to buy goods and services based on what society allows you to. Some jobs are valued more than other. A businessman making $40 million a year has found what society values and has fed the demand.
