Wireless Mobile Internet Trial Gets Underway in Seoul
It looks like people with laptops will be able to use the internet on the train soon. The only problem is getting a seat!

On the Bundang Line linking Gangnam in Seoul and Bundang, a subway train is moving toward Guryong Station. A passenger opens his laptop and watches a video clip he is downloading from a local portal. The upload and download speed are as fast as 3.4 Mbps and 500 Kbps respectively - that is as fast as an affordable ADSL service. At such speeds, users can download and watch movies almost in real time in a moving train or car. The new service is making what was not so long ago only a dream a reality.

Using a laptop in a subway? That's got to be a joke. Maybe a PDA...but that's going to be annoying, too. Those DMB phones are already annoying enough.
