Although I have never looked up the translation for Nakji I believe it may be the octopus you are referring to. I understand most Nakji is from the Mokpo area. I personally really enjoy Nakji in a wide variety of dishes. They have San Nakji which is the live. They also have the live whole Nakji that you place on a chop stick to eat. There is a Nakji Jun Kol which is a spicy vege, dish that is cooked on a fire on the table. I took a ROK Cpt and his driver to a place where my wife and I frequented. They specialized in Nakji. They like most Koreans believe Americans do not eat spicy foods. I am not sure how this myth came about. In any case it was the soldiers who were in tears while eating. The waitress told them I ate there often.

I also liked Mak Jang which is chiltlins fried over an open grill. You eat it the same way you eat Sam Gip Sal. It is a Daegu specialty. Those living in Daegu can find an excellent diner on road 28 runs parallel to Cp Walker. It is across the bridge on the left. They use to have an large orange sign out front. It is before you reach road 69. There is only one place in Seoul I have been able to find Mak Jang. If you are familiar with the KukJe bldg outside Gate 19 it is in the alley behind the first row of buildings. There are several Sam Gip Sal places on this road. There is a diner closest to the KukJe building that will serve Mak Jang. If there is still room there is a decent beer place Uncle Cho's that has the German Guesthaus decor.

On the other end of the street is another Sam Gip Sal place that cooks on a slab of slate .

How about eel? I was surprised with the taste it was pretty good. I had it bbq and raw.

What I have a problem with is liver and onions.

I never had eel raw, but I did have the BBQ ones and I loved it! Sweet, juicy, and gushy!

Liver? Hmm... the only liver I remember eating was the ones that came with Soondeh, which are (what I was told) pig intestines. I can tolerate liver, but I don't like it. Speaking of weird foods, Soondeh...well, all it is really is stuffed intestines, so the only real weird thing is the intestine...tubing (?). You're not eating the pigs digested food. (ew!) Not bad, though...I like it.
