Do Koreans use Digital Video Recorders?
It seems that all TV fanatics in America own a DVR. I always here how Tivo has changed a lot of people's viewing habits. Do Koreans use DVRs? I don't remember any of my Korean friends using them.

Are these DVR's what they use to record commercial free US TV shows and upload them on the internet? If so, then that's gotta be why. I hardly think there is much demand for Korean dramas. But everyone wants to see the latest TV shows in the states!
I admit if I were stateside, I'd probably have one, too. Just set it on timer record and record the show commerical free. When I was in college I always missed the shows in the evenings cuz of classes so I'd timer record on my VCR. I guess this is the new and improved thing to do. Also, it's better quality and you never have to buy season DVD's ever again. |
