He's a...I'm not sure what to call him...artist, performer, entertainer...psycho?

He makes songs and music, but I wouldn't really call him a singer. His music type is...well, heavy metal/rock/rap? Maybe someone else can elaborate.
Anyway, his song was on the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack.
UPDATE:
Here's some info I found on our good ol Wikipedia:

Limp Bizkit (pronounced "Limp Biscuit") is an American rapcore band who, with Korn, is often credited with creating the genre sometimes dubbed nu metal and starting its popularization. The band is currently signed to Geffen Records and was previously signed to Interscope Records; both labels are part of the Universal Music Group. The band's original name was "Lethal Injection." Their albums have sold over 30 million copies worldwide.
The genre the band plays is frequently referred to as nu metal, a genre specifically promoted for the teenage audience and heavily influenced by Limp Bizkit's own chanted catchphrases. After Linkin Park, and prior to their mentors Korn, the latter being also often credited with inventing the genre, Limp Bizkit are often regarded as the band second-in-command of nu metal's helm.
Limp Bizkit consists of singer Fred Durst, guitarist Wes Borland, bassist Sam Rivers, drummer John Otto (Rivers' cousin), and turntablist/sampler player DJ Lethal. Borland was with them for their first three albums but left in 2001, to be replaced by Mike Smith (formerly of the band Snot). However, in August 2004, Borland returned to Limp Bizkit.
Though Limp Bizkit has enjoyed major success and sold millions of records, they are critically panned. Detractors have said the group is “cartoonish” [1] and make “cotton candy music.” [2]. Sometimes they are also accused of being involuntarily comic, while the allmusic.com leading critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine accused Fred Durst in a negative review of the group's 2003 critical flop Results May Vary as being the 'worst frontman in the history of rock.'
