US Tells ROK no large-scale reinforcements even if war comes

According to a source in Washington on January 8, the U.S. delivered its position to the ROK that it will not dispatch its large-scale reinforcements to the Korean Peninsula even if war breaks out in the region, a decision that the U.S. military authorities made in the process of discussing with the ROK wartime command shift and the dissolution of the ROK-U.S. Combined Forces Command (CFC) (Seoul)

Is this the part of the puzzle we have not previously been told by our leaders here in country? If so, We may be more able to understand the things we have noticed lately...
Maybe the days of spending money on the defense of Korea is finally taking a back seat to priorities elsewhere?

Well, the likliehood of anything actually happening is pretty small in comparison to other problems we are dealing with, so it makes perfect sense from a "big picture" point of view.

Speaking as a guy who might be out there with little no help coming his way it makes me a bit nervous, but hopefully I will never have to find out just how bad that really feels.

I honeslty have no idea how prepared the South Korean Army is for something like this, and I have no idea what sort of firepower that could be brought to bear, but something tells me it would be painfully short lived and that is bad news for everyone. If I am assuming wrong, please tell me!
