Re: Hooters in South Korea!
I go there every couple of weeks with my gf, we both enjoy watching the HUGE SMILES from the older generation koreans who come in and experience hooters for the first time... it never gets old. They are like kids and christmas. =) Anyway, the food is so-so in my opionion, but the girls and staff that work there are really nice and friendly. It's a good place to go and get some drinks and socialize, just go to the Apgujeong subway station and take a left out of exit 5 and then follow the sidewalk around the corner past starbucks, past dunkin donuts and so on until you run into hooters. It's about a 2-3 minute walk from exit 5.

Welcome back, Scurry! Haven't seen you for a few months- since you asked about people making fun of your Korean pronunciation! I'm going to have to assume you are not terribly concerned about that now, and happy to know you have a girl friend! Can she help, or are you learning Tagalog now! Just joking! Thanks for the comments on Hooters. I can't imagine they can screw up burgers and fries!
SSNAPIER and I need to reconnoiter the area soon! Maybe this afternoon? |

Re: Hooters in South Korea!
Hello Joe, I have been traveling a ton becaues of work, but now that I'm taking a break I have more time to play around on the internet. My gf is Korean so she can't teach me tagalog (although it would be great if I knew that language too). :) And yes she teaches me a new word every day so my language is improving, but I'm still scared to speak in front of unknown Koreans. I have to take my hat off to any Korean who speaks english as their second language though, they are much more brave than I. Anyway, every day I make a litte bit of positive progress. Maybe some day I'll break out of my shell.

I like hamburgers!
Thanks for the reply, Scully; you'll do fine. There is an old Oriental saying that I go by, I'll repeat it again here- "Witness the Turtle- He makes no progress unless he sticks his neck out!" |

You speak for a lot of us there! Anyway, you will be down south, I believe, and when you come up to Seoul, you already know that the Navy Club has great food, and for less!
