Cool Fair Trade Talks end in Korea !

Farmers now have more to march about since the US and Korea agreed on trade in beef, oranges, automobiles and more. Farmers are upset because they fear US goods will lower their profits considerably. Have you been reading about this? Check out an English version Newspaper and find out! Avoid any area where farmers may be protesting!

Re: Fair Trade Talks end in Korea !

I can see why the farmers are protesting because they will lose money but what do everyday Korean consumers feel about the trade agreement? I read that Koreans pay some of the highest beef prices in the world. Of course if I were in the beef business in Korea I would be upset but if I were a normal consumer I would love not having to pay so much for beef.

Cool Re: Fair Trade Talks end in Korea !

Reading today's Korea Times, it seems although an "Agreement" is signed, there is still a problem in the beef area, and the legslators in both countries have to come to some understanding yet. I am not ready to elaborate on anything yet. Others more knowledgable, please do!

Kind of like the North Korean "Agreement". Trust me, they will eagerly accept gifts of Rice, etc, which the South said they will give them ANYWAY, whether or not they turn off the reactor by mid April. They won't turn off anything until the US releases their money we froze in a Macau bank. Guess it was a part of a money-laundering and/or counterfeiting scheme. North Korea wins every time we play with them. Why should they change? Six Party talks-BS!
