hostages are saved, but I have some questions
I read the newspaper, it said something that i don't understand.
Terrorist can directly ask a country and the country directly accept the request. Terrorist get the money form the country and they said that they will make much more terror with the money~ Is negotiation between Taliban and Korean Government? Does Korean Government gave the terrorist 20 million USD? Is it true? |

Re: hostages are saved, but I have some questions
What's the hell they done!
It is impossible. A country surrendered to the evil. The Terrorists get the money and they will kill more and kidnap more... much more It doesn't make sense~ |

Re: hostages are saved, but I have some questions
This has made South Koreans overseas a ripe target now. Anytime a terrorist group is in need of some financial support they will be looking toward the South Koreans. Paying off terrorist never ends up being a good thing. I'm glad they released the remaining hostages.

The amount of money, or just what the Korean Government did to cause the release of the hostages is speculation. But if they did cave in to the demands
of the kidnappers, it will cause worldwide loss of face. |

Re: hostages are saved, but I have some questions
We do not know. The Japanese news said the Korean Govt. paid $200,000.
There are conflicting reports. Yes, some one is lying. |

Re: hostages are saved, but I have some questions
I think you're right. Now that the terrorist know the Korean Government will pay, every Korean overseas is a target. That's why we (U.S) doesn't negotiate. It gets you nowhere.

Re: hostages are saved, but I have some questions
This debate is over, Hopefully the focus will now be on how the South will kiss up to North Korea in the upcoming October Summit in Pyongyang.
I predict continued concessions to the North, and also predict that any slowdown in kissing up will cause the North to retract or slow down their supposed willingness to stop all nuclear proliferation. They will ask for a lifetime supply of diesel fuel- and will threaten to re-start their nuclear reactor if the South refuses. |
