Problems with my bus/subway card

The last two times I used my card to pay my fare at the Pyeongtaek station it charged me 1600 won to enter when it usually cost only 800. It also charged me another 1000 won when I exited. I checked the pay chart and I should have only been charged 2000 won for the trip and not 2600. I am only being over charged at Pyeongtaek station. Any other station I've been to has only charged the first 800 won when I got on the subway. Do you think this is a problem with my card or a glitch at the station when I swipe my card? If it does it again, should I say something to someone who works there?

Did you ride a bus before your rode the subway...even the day before? Sometimes if you use the bus but don't swipe out it will charge you next time you get on a bus or in the subway.

Re: Problems with my bus/subway card

I've never swiped out from a bus and never had the problem before. The only time I would swipe as I left the bus was if I was getting on another bus and wanted the discount. Today it charged me 1600 won when I got on the bus heading to the subway and then again when I get on the subway. This time it also did my husbands card that way. But on the way back, the charges were normal.

Shsong, Everything is good. We've had a few routine tests done and they have all come back normal. We also know that we are having a boy.

Cool Re: Problems with my bus/subway card

I find if you don't swipe out as you exit the bus, you'll pay later. I guess you know if you pay 800 in Seoul and ride to Pyongtaek it charges again because of the distance.

Re: Problems with my bus/subway card

I'll start swiping it when I leave the bus and see if that fixes the problem. It just didn't make any sense because I've used this card for a year now and it just starting doing this over the last month.

That's good !
Btw, I think that your husband will need some car for you and your baby.
If you suddenly feel some pain, you need to go to some hospital direct for you and your baby.
Anyway, have a good time !
