Re: Koreans splashing around in the bathroom...

There's a very good point about draining system on the floor.
Biff, My mama always scolded me not to splash the water all over the place. I was kinda giggling like a school girl when I saw your post.
Very good point there.

We do have draining system on the floor so korean do not use the curtain like back in the state. However, most of educated mom teach their children not to use bathroom with mess. However, Draining system comes into my mind as an insurance policy to prevent any spill over on the floor. But , It doesn't mean that you do not have to worry about the next person. A lot of people abuse the system to understand that you can mess up with them. But Korean mom usually teach their childrean not to splash the water all over the place in general. It's the matter of considering next person or not. It varies from person 2 person. As you know different storkes for differnt folks. I mean You can walk into the gunstore and see different kinds of ammunitions.

My pop had a hard time to familiar with curtain system in US when he was in us airforce academy as an exchange student in late 70's.
He leanrs things wuickly to absorb such system like a sponge. He came back and bought a curtain for himself and his baby-boy to set up new system at home with my mama.

Thanks
