Hi Everyone,

My name is Mike. I recently moved to Korea from Los Angeles. I got a job in Korea which is a vendor/contractor for the USFK. While I was visiting the Yongsan Base, I realized there are so many cool things inside. I am trying to look up what my pass/id gives me access to. I have been issued a USFK Pass/ID -Contractor/Vendor 37EK (AUTO)

Does anybody know where I could find out information on what I have access to or what not. (ie. restaurant, convenient shop, maybe even the gym, etc...)

For additional info, I'd check the Law & Order Office and speak with either Mr. Oxendine or Mr. Doyle. It's located on the end of the building that's next to the crosswalk bridge between Main and South Post - on the South Post side.

your access will depend on what your company has negotiated for you in their contract with USFK. It will also be affected by any other connection you may have with the military, such as former service, reserve status, etc. 1. Ask your company. They can tell you. You may be able to negotiate automobile access, and other perks through them.
2. If you want further information, call USA Contracting Command on Yongsan.

I could be wrong. But you should be able to go to any Restaurants, Shops and the gyms...DHL "The Point" aswell.

I found out that I do have access to restaurants and a few other things. Would I be able to use the convenient store? I noticed one next to the fastfood place that I ate at. I read somewhere that you need to have a ration plate card or something.
Would that be required for the convenient store as well?
As for the gym, I just signed up with Bally's Total Fitness in Banpo-Dong.. (so much more $$$ than in LA )

I told you. It depends on what your company negotiated in their contract with USFK. Ask your boss!

You need a ration card - so if you didn't get one, the answer would be no. Talk to you company about it. Although, if you were eligible, I can't imagine why they wouldn't have already arranged to get you one...so you probably won't be able to get one. But that's just a guess. Bottom Line: as Mr. Joe suggested - talk to your employer.
