AAFES/DECA Info
just got word that might be useful to you all concerning the new changes coming up
1. SSRT - SSRT will be changing to LG Dacom. Current SSRT customers will be e-mailed in the next month or so informing them of the change over. You will have to go into the office (where SSRT currently is) and switch your account over to the new provider. They know that this is an inconvenience for people, and plan on offering some promotional deal to help compensate people for their time. With the new provider, there will be a change in plans offered and pricing. More to come on this. 2. Voice Over IP - The way things stand now, the effective date for the new VOIP service that will be offered, will be 1 JUN 07. Anyone who has existing Vonage service will be grand fathered and won't have to switch to the new VOIP. The VOIP that LG Dacom won't be able to provide people with US numbers (by Korean law), so people will be able to call the states for free, but if some one in the states wants to call you, they will be paying long distance to reach your number. |

Re: AAFES/DECA Info
What does this have to do with DECA? DECA has nothing to do with AAFES. DECA is run by the Department of Defense with appropriated funds. AAFES you will only find on Army or Air Force installations and are run by non-appropriated funds. DECA runs all commissaries on all military installations. On Navy bases the exchange is NEXCOM and on Marine bases they have Marine Corp Exchange. Also you will not find the above product in a commissary. Most people have this misconception. I am a former DECA employee.
