Like Mr. Joe said, these folks don't look too happy to be wearing those uniforms at all. Kind of reminds me of the imperial officers in Star Wars. Maybe we can get those white stormtrooper outfits to replace our BDUs.

Coincidence? I think not
Here's what I think...I think that they really liked the Star Trek uniform, but they had to have an alternative that people would really hate so that we'd all cling on (or klingon...ha!) to the one that they really liked. Hence, the SS version. Anyone else agree?

I still like Star Wars, and even Captain Kirk!
I don't know where these ideas for uniforms come from. Really. I used to think that someone's brother-in-law located a stash of old uniforms rejected previously from other generations, and dragged them out to try again. I haven't changed my mind.
I once had a "MAO" jacket (Mao Se Dung, Chinese leader.) I liked that collar style, and still do. But my wife didn't like it, and it has disappeared. What was it the "Old Chief" of the Army said? Shut up and Color? Write your Congressperson now, or shut up and color! |

Duly noted...and you'll get no complaints from me no matter what they decide. I've been through so many uniform styles since I came it that it really doesn't matter to me. This is just the result of it being OPR season and people needing a couple of extra bullets. I'll be retired before they get the next iteration on the street, but I just might hang out for a bit if I can get to wear the Star Trek version for a couple of weeks.
