Military to get 2.2% pay raise for 2007
I must say I am disappointed with President Bush and the U.S. congress. They have asked the military to do more with less, fight conflict after conflict and they throw the military a 2.2% pay raise. This is with the 20,000 personnel cut in the Air Force coming over the next few years. This raise is the lowest since 1994
Overall, congress passed a $448 billion defense budget that included $70 billion for Iraq and Afghanistan, $1 billion of that going toward body armor.
