75 percent of Koreans want US to stay

I found this article interesting. The poll was just taken a few days ago.

Quote:
Many adults in South Korea have no problem with United States military bases, according to a poll by TNS released by the Office for Government Policy Coordination. 75 per cent of respondents think the U.S. forces should not withdraw from South Korea now.
Here is the actual poll question and answer.

Quote:
Do you think the U.S. forces should withdraw from South Korea now?
Yes: 22%
No: 75%
Not sure: 3%

Source: TNS / Office for Government Policy Coordination
Methodology: Interviews with 1,000 South Korean adults, conducted on May 7, 2006. No margin of error was provided.
I guess it is not too surprising, but much stronger than in 2002 after the two school girls were run over by a US military vehicle and the soldiers were acquitted.

Exclamation

If the South Koreans want us to stay they need to act like it. From what I read more and more Koreans are treating Americans like garbage. This simply didn't happen during my two tours there, 76-78 and 82-83.
