I remember my training instructors at Lackland. SSgt. Buss and SSgt. Toomey. The didn't look a bit like her!
Well, the February issue is out for all to see, and so is she! I'm sure she will be able to make a career in any way she chooses! Wish her luck! Last edited by Mr. Joe : 01-21-2007 at 10:16 PM. |

Re: Air Force sergeant poses for Playboy
I just saw the pictures on the Web. Not bad, but too many tattoos for my taste.

Re: Air Force sergeant poses for Playboy
i so "you go girl" but honestly if she was really worried about staying in the air force then she shouldn't have done this.. i don't think it necessarily brings discredit among the air force but i do believe it's wrong to do something like this and represent herself as an air force member.. ask yourself what someone outside of the air force (and a woman) would think if military people started posing in nude mags.
![]() oh and btw.. she'll be lucky if she gets a "less than honorable discharge".. she might not get the dishonorable discharge but she definitely won't be getting honorable.. otherwise i think a lot more people are going to try to pose nude in mags |

You see, some of your opinions are exactly why the armed forces are having so many problems with discipline today. If you read the Stars and Stripes from yesterday or the day before, the title page even said that problems here on the "ROK" are getting worse.
When an NCO, especially one who is charged with training our newest airmen, thinks that it is appropriate for her to pose in playboy and affiliate herself with the military, she needs her high falooting ass kicked as hard as the UCMJ's boot can kick it. How an individual charged with that could possibly think that posing IN HER UNIFORM (and if you've looked at the Playboy issue, she is in her full uniform in several pictures) followed by nude pictures is consistent with good order and discipline, she obviously went to a different school than any of the rest of us did. I work too many long hours trying to ensure that my airmen become respectable leaders to let some poor excuse for an NCO to undo from the beginning what I will have to fix later. Shame on her for thinking that this act of misconduct would not affect her ability to properly execute her duties. It is incumbent upon the leadership (and OBTY if you are an E5 or higher, then you are the leadership) to speak out and let our young airmen know that this type of behavior is not only inappropriate, but prohibited. Prohibited he says? Dameeun must certainly be off his rocker. It's all spelled out in black and white my friends. You can't cut it any other way. Read on: AFI 36-2618: Failure to observe the mandatory provisions of this instruction in paragraphs 3.1., 4.1., and 5.1., by military personnel, is a violation of Article 92, Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ). NCOs must: 4.1.6. Exceed the standards and expectations levied upon their Airmen. Epitomize excellence, serving as a role model for Airmen to emulate. Lead by example by exhibiting professional behavior, military bearing, respect for authority, and the highest standards of dress and appearance. Instill these types of behaviors in their subordinates. AFPD 36-29, Military Standards 6. When wearing the uniform, all Air Force members will adhere to standards of neatness, cleanliness, safety, and military image to provide the appearance of a disciplined Service member. Department of Defense Directive 1334.1: 3.1. ...The wearing of the uniform is prohibited under any of the following circumstances: 3.1.2. During or in connection with the furtherance of political activities, private employment or commercial interests, when an inference of official sponsorship for the activity or interest could be drawn. 3.1.4. When wearing of the uniform would tend to bring discredit upon the Armed Forces. Good looking or not, she is an NCO who had responsibilities. She failed to adhere to those provisions. If she wants to act like an undisciplined individual, we have methods of ensuring that she can no longer lead our most precious resource in the future. She is the perfect candidate for force shaping. |

Dameeun is 100% correct, looking at it from a Military perspective!
He exhibits the kind of NCO the Air Force strives to get! I applaud his fortitude and his bravery to speak out for the Air Force. There will be those who reply with their ideas of morality or their ideas of freedom of choice, etc., but whatever they say is not the Air Force Standard. Like it or not, she is toast in the AF. She probably knew that, and chose to enter the arena and maybe come out with another career. Good Luck to her, and thank you to Dameeun for his comments. |

Re: Air Force sergeant poses for Playboy
Dameeun,
Good post...when she did that she lost all her integrity and respect both military and civilian no service member will follow her in combat....the bedroom yes but combat no. It makes you wonder why she waited 10 years to do that and with kids and a husband who was she trying to impress. Bones |
