Military people should avoid cussing in public. What happened to respecting other people?

But if you think it gets the point across (and using my free speech), You're a stupid f*ck. What the f*ck is wrong with you? You really think it's ok to just cuss in front of other people just because you're in the military? You don't have the brains that G-d gave a jellyfish, you f*cking stupid b*stard. *sshole. Get the point?

Man I feel dirty, I need a shower.

Re: Offensive Language

Ok..it was me who originally made this post over 2 months ago and aside from MrJoe and Chucksnee...not too many replies to it were made.
Then all of a sudden I check this forum again to find numerous replies. I did not realize at the time that alot of people felt as I did..with the exception of Biff and Ironsider. I want to personally thank MrJoe, Chucksnee, DrWorm, GingerSmurf and rndspringer for so many INTELLIGENT (yes I did say intelligent) replies to the post. We all know which ones were not. Seems it got a bit heated here for a while.

Biff and Ironsider, I AM an empowered dependent (that is spelled - d e p e n d e n t)..not dependit. I am Retired military..I did my service to my country for 20 yrs. I am here with my husband by choice and have been for over 3 years..probably neither one of you have been here that long. I am VERY aware of what goes on at Camp Casey. My husband, as a DOD civilian, is in a position that supports you soldiers 24/7 and believe me, I really don't know how he does it, having to deal with the stupidity and/or ignorance of some people on a daily basis. He is my hero. As far as your comments on this entire post, I really feel we all got the message across to both of you where we stand..and I seriously hope you take some of it to heart. I could care less what you think of me. What I posted originally was based on what I have personally observed in the past 3 yrs. It IS a problem and you are part of the problem unless you do something to change it. You want respect, you got to earn it, and going around using vulgar language in front of women, Koreans, children ain't gonna cut it, in fact, their perception of you as a soldier is in the toilet, which I'd have to say, you really need to flush it cause it stinks. Enough said from me...Have a nice day

Re: Offensive Language

So in the end we agree to disagree...Next time, I will have to a pick a more open-minded crowd and not the 40+ crowd. Wish you luck on your crusade...Lets see how much progress you can make...

Re: Offensive Language

40+??

I'll be retired by age 38 with 20+ years in...

I believe i'm doing just fine with my "open mind" and will continue to do so.

It is you that we have to worry about, it is your "CLOSED" mind that is not open to other peoples considerations that will make it harder on you as you progress through the years..

Thumbs down Re: Offensive Language

What a mess this thread is... the bottom line is really simple... let me break it down for you.

Most people have enough class to recognize that derogatory language is something that only very rarely has a purpose. Those who use it in daily conversation simply do not have the maturity, intelligence, or self-control to recognize just how stupid they actually sound.

I can cuss with the best of them, trust me on that, but I know that there is a time and a place for it and 99% of the public areas do not qualify for their use... PERIOD!

By the way, those of you who tried to use your internet muscles sounded about 6 years old... congrats!

You're right about one thing. A word or two here or there is not too bad. If you almost get hit by a car and say "SH*T"...ok. SOmetimes it's the only word that fits. But a trying to get every cuss word into one sentence walking around in the PX, Townhouse or DHL (I'm Area II) is just stupid.
