Re: Looking for Pictures

I was sent this picture taken in 1954 at what soon became Camp Kaiser next to a very small village called Unchon-ni. There is a RoK Army unit there now next to a city the is now called Uncheon City.

I was there and also at Cp Casey in 1960.

Re: Looking for Pictures

No, I was stationed in Korea in 60-61, 69-70, 78-79, and 81-82. I saw what Korea was like shortly after the War, and how far it had advanced by 1982. What a HUGE change. The young Koreans today should be very proud of what there parents, and grand parents did to provide them the life style they now have.

In the 1960's North Korea was actually ahead of South Korea. Park Chung Hee changed that with his new policies, which hurt many people, but saved the country in my opinion.

Re: Looking for Pictures

For you guys that are on your first visit to Korea, these pictures should help to illustrate how far Korea has come in only 40 years. These are pictures of Seoul during my 1st tour in 1960-61.
