Hello,

I was hoping that I could find someone to talk to that is or was special forces. My husband was thinking about going special forces and has already spoken to a recruiter about doing so. His only draw back before taking the plunge is that he's looking to talk to someone that has first hand experience to discuss what it's really like. We've talked to the recruiter already but as everyone knows recruiters really like to hear themselves speak sometimes...least this last one did haha. I just don't want all the niceties being thrown at us and we make a decision that is based on the wrong information. So please if there is anyone here that has prior special forces experience or that is special forces that could talk to me and or my husband about it that would be great....

Your hubby should talk to someone at SOC-K (Special Operations Command - Korea) in Yongsan. It's not a large detachment, but I'm sure he can find someone there who will give him the straight poop about SF life.
