Korea as first duty station
Are soldiers who come straight out of AIT to Korea entitled to things like the car and household goods storage and the 1000 lbs shipment limit? Since I've been here, I've talked to several people who came here as their first duty station and they didn't get these things. Is it a matter of them not being entitled to them or that they just don't know that they are entitled so they don't push the issue?

Re: Korea as first duty station
They are not entitled to them ..unless command sponsored or an exception to policy......to go off subject a little, i think Korea is a horrible place for a 1st duty station!!

There are ALOT of things as a first term Soldier that you are not entiteled to those being two of them.... There are also alot of things that a retireing person is not entiteled. We are also not entiteled to DLA on your very first move or last retirement move...
