help me contact a friend...
I was reading CNN online last month and came across a quote by an old university friend of mine who's serving in Iraq. It's been many years since we've been in touch but I'd really like to drop him a line. How would I go about sending a letter to him in Iraq? He's in Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry Regiment. I'm a civilian, btw. I'd be grateful for any advice!

Google for his unit's FRG (family readiness group) and maybe someone there can get a message through to him. Do not ask them for his contact information though - just ask to pass an email message. If he wants to contact you back, he will.
