What do you think about this girl?

Ok, I was reading the GI Korea Blog, one of the better military blogs related to Korea.

I have to ask, what do you think about a girl that posts this:

That adversarialism dominates their racist animus against the Korean civic-movements -- who are merely seeking liberation from the colonial grips of USFK: GI appears to have a secret contempt not only for non-whites... but, liberal-minded white whistle-blowers who point out his intrinsic small-town fascism.

It's been my observation such minded individuals as "USA Korea" and GI are secretly anti-black (eg. GI is ready to refer to a freshly drowned New Orleans as a retro-grade Somalia), anti-Jewish (Hey, it goes with the territory) and anti-Asian(despite having an Asian wife as a cover), but they tend to be also anti-abortion, anti-welfare, anti-free trade, anti-drugs, anti-communist, anti-homosexual, anti-equal rights, anti-feminist and anti-New Age.

Am I the only one that sees the hypocrisy in her posts? She slams GI for being anti-everything (which he is not), as she slams all USFK Members in general. She in her own way is prejudice against military members in South Korea. What a joke!

My theory is that she has been dumped by military members and now hates them. It can be hard loving military men and all they do is use you! That's just my thought.

I must also say, I doubt this woman would ever talk like this in person. I have a feeling the internet allows he to be more outspoken that in public. To see her rants, visit the blog.

Well, ...to me it's plain sad.

Obviously this person(s) is pretty erudite and has done pretty good deal of research of some aspects of the subject matter. Also, he or she is pretty clever on how to get under people's skin.

But what a waste...a well-educated person posting to forums and just to piss people off.

Maturity and loneliness may be the issues with this person.

Maybe its a college kid who wrote his/her English 301 term paper about racism, Korea, and the US military. Maybe even a kid from who lived here once.

I would say there is very little erudition in that post.

Throwing around fifty-cent buzz-words to disguise your inability to formulate an honest argument does not make you insightful, and attempting to characterize another person (and that person's relationship with his own wife) through broad generalizations is ignorant. Doing that with spite but hiding behind the protection of the Internet is just cowardice.

I'm not even sure who you're talking about. The first paragraph you quote is not Silly Sally's, but Mr. Smarty Pants'. I certainly think that the same person could be writing both comments, but I don't know either one of them.

I don't think either one of them is a real person, just an internet persona making jokes on his blog. I'm not even sure that the person writing is a woman. So, when she invites you out for drinks, you might want to check for an adam's apple before heading back for a nightcap. Honestly, please tell me that you don't take hir posts seriously. I'll leave off with one of her other quotes.

This diathesistic person seems to have issues with most everything! I'll have to go over and read GI and see more. Erudite? No. Educated, loquacious and verbose? No doubt!. Pissed off at the world? Perhaps. Anglo-Saxon Protestant-probably not. Able to coexist with normal folk? With great difficulty. Insanely jealous of beautiful, loving and often subservient Korean women - you bet your bippy! Interesting to get to know-why not!
An extremely coprophagous individual? (look it up and decide for yourself!) Go for the dictionary now! Learn this word for future reference!

Joke or not, the post relays a widely held misconception of the modern GI. For simplicity, she is accusing GIs of being overwhelmingly ultra-Republican and farther right than Pat Buchanon. The truth is that most people believe that GIs are Republican, while the fact is that only the vocal majority makes it seem that way. While the majority would be a combination of populist and conservatives, there are for more libertarians and liberals than is recognized... I'd say easily 60/40 split. That is only based on an educated guess gathered in political conversations I've had with a wide array of people.

So I'd say that she has know research to back her up and is either bored or a scorned soul.

I am surprised with the diatribe response in this thread. It is obvious this individual has some contenious issues with Americans. I sense this reflects the attitudes of an egotistical male. The same type of individual we see in the airport security, and on some of the campuses.

What surprises me the most is the how some have attempted to show their command of the English language in there response. <g>

I had to reach for the dictionary for some of a couple of these words.

I really hope this was a joke and will not become the standard. I enjoy reading most of the post.

I wouldn't pay to much attention to Mr. Smarty Pants or Silly Sally. They are long time commenters who never really have anything good to say about me, but sometimes they actually do leave some good comments when they aren't bashing me or Koreans in general. They have actually been on hiatus for a little while now, not that I am complaining.

I can only assume they are "trolling". Basically, there are people that post messages that get people heated and reply with heat in return. They get off on seeing people get angry.
