I'd like to be assigned to serve in the ROK, My PSG doesn't really seem to know so I was wondering if maybe someone here would.
I'm a 25C in my 8th week of AIT and it seems I'll be assigned to Ft.Bragg, But as a leg I'm not too happy with it. I've always wanted to go to Korea and love the culture. What do you know? |

I can only tell you from an Air Force perspective.
An Assignment to Korea is relatively easy for most in the U.S. military due to it being a short-tour. They are always offering 2-year tours because the U.S. military wants to keep people here longer. I have a feeling if you volunteered for a 2-year assignment you would have a better chance. Since you already have an assignment in the U.S., it may be difficult. In the Air Force it is more difficult to change assignments because you are dealing with two separate commands. One must release you to the other. I would suggest visiting your personnel office and asking them what your options are. Mike
