Re: GOLF in KOREA

You may want to look into taking a trip to Thailand while your in Korea. The courses in Pattaya are very nice and relatively cheap compared to stateside prices.

Re: GOLF in KOREA

Anybody who can reserve the tee-time at Osan, and convoy 2 Korean citizens for golf at the doolittle gate, we'll be there on time if you let me know when.
We can exchange and share the golf courses in Korea.

Driving range in Korea

I'm going to the driving range(150yards-carry) near my apartment every weekday at 7:55 p.m.
I can reserve it during the day(12~4 p.m by phone) and need to be there not later than 20 minutes.
Nowadays it's not that much crowdy compare to the autumn or spring time but quite a lot of people start to practice for this coming spring season.
I can put my caddie bag into my locker with my shoes, since I paid the monthly membership(Korea won 180,000).
I should have paid the 20,000KRW for the key money which is retained until I return the locker key and 10,000won for locker monthly.
So I used to pay 190,000 per month for the driving range and I hope no more raise in this year.
Day-coupon is available at 20,000won for 90minutes.
For coaching, we need to pay KRW160,000 per month for 3 days a week.
I'm not sure whether it's expensive or not compare to the states, but it's a various price system in Korea.
I mean there is a indoor golf institute in the basement of a building asking 180,000won for 3 months including private coaching near my apartment.
This is the driving range fee in Korea.
Have a good day!

Sky 72 country club

I went to the Sky72 on this January 20 in yeong-jong island where the Incheon international airport is located.
There are 4 courses, 72 holes and the 1st largest driving range in Asia(?) as they insist.
I reserve it 2weeks ago through the internet, actually there were some competition even in such a winter.
I love the rockhill course which planted by western grass roots, I forgot the name, and where the sky telecom open(KPGA) was held while inviting Michelle Wie and KJ Choi(US PGA tour pro).
I used to hit more than 90 but less than 100 in this course, but I hit 101 this time.
My best score in this course was 88.
I'm not sure why my score is so terrible always in this course, but I guess it's because of stress for good score or mental problem.
I'm not that much comfortable whenever I stood on the tee-box, and 2nd shot for the green.
There are some hazard on every hole, and the view is terrific on the tee-box but hazard also.
I think it's not to everybody but to me, it's a kind of mental game in this course.
If I overcome the difficulties of mentality in this course, I can be a single golfer soon.
Anyway I paid 189,000won for green fee, 20,000won for cart, 20,000won for caddie(actually 90,000won for 4 players).
I found that the total bill was 1,108,000won including meal and drink for 4 players. Amen!
