canceling tee time in Korea

I waked up around 4 a.m. yesterday(sunday, 2007-6-24) and it's rainy.
My tee-time was 06:10 at the Joongboo CC located near in Ghonjiahm toll gate.
It was not a public course so I wanted to go there even in such a rainy day.
I got a phone call from my friend around 4:10a.m. and he told me that he checked already whether we can play or not and it's negative due to the 6-hour consecutive heavy rain.
So the club allowed us to cancel the tee-time.
Usually clubs ask the players to check in on time and can only cancel it when it's still rainy on the tee-off ground.
So some time, I need to drive my car even in a heavy rain to check in 30-40 minutes before my tee-time and wait until my tee-time to avoid any disadvantage for future tee-time reservation.
I found a lot of times that some players play golf in a rainy day, snowy day.
But We never call them a crazy golfer in Korea.
I think that it's because of the difficulty of reserving tee-time
I think That's not abnormal, but they are healthy people.
I once played on a rainy day which was really bad, but it's really romantic experience on a snowy day.
