Need help with USFK Forums Ad Design!

In return for building the AIG ad in the classifieds, I will be given a 1/6 page ad in Kscene magazine. Kscene magazine is a popular, color magazine for expats in Seoul. They produce 20,000 copies every 2 weeks and place them in all the popular places in Seoul. Over 200 locations!

This will be a permanent ad I hope.

What I need are some ideas to recruit new members. It should target expats, Koreans and military. I need some inspiration before I build the ad. The deadline is this Thursday, so I need to finish it by Wednesday night.

Aren't AIG print ads always with text only? Are you going to be following that design concept or were you looking to go in a different direction?

I'm sure of what you would call what I'm about to describe, Make the Tae Guk GI (without the I ching symbloms) into a hexagon or octagon shape.

At each side, highlight what's available on the group-i.e. Arcades, encyclopedia, dining establishments and or night clubs (changes the bar reveiw I know, still the same info), & the basic catagories.

At the top in large print (centered) is USFK Forums: (Then something like) Keeping Korea Informed. Keeping Korea Number One. Something like that.

Bottom 1/3 would be your general info. Columns may work, so would bullets.

This sight is above average in many ways as far as sights with their main theme being Korea. The biggest thing your sight offers that others haven't done such a good job at is the classifieds. If I was doing it, I'd make the classifieds the main dish with the rest of the stuff a side dish. The forum here is good but there are tons of forums. You need to concentrate on the unique things you offer here. What are they? lol. Just kidding dude. Good Luck Mike.

Ok, I am attaching a rough my first draft. I didn't have as much time as I would have like to build this, but it does the job. I would like to do a better one two weeks from now!

Has anyone seen the new K Scene? If you are in Seoul please take a look in Itaewon and pick up a copy. I am curious to see if it made it in this edition and what it looks like on hardcopy.

Here is an update. My ad didn't make the deadline in for the last edition. It will be in the 3 Aug edition. If you are in Seoul please look out for it and let me know how it looks!
