So far I met with several members and would love to make this a monthly gathering. The only problem is that I still live in Hawaii and won't make most of them.

If anyone would like to volunteer to host a month USFK Forums event in their area just let me know. Generally, I can get group discounts at man restaurants and the host of the group will eat free. I have already talked to Alsaba and he is on board with this. I can also convince Chakraa and a few other restaurants.

I'm going to mention that I've got 4 days off in a row starting on the 6th. I suspect Seoul will be a ghost town due to Chusok on the 6th, but Yongsan Garrison should be open for eating on Sat & Sun. Anyone traveling 5th, 6th, 7th or 8th should NOT GO BY HIGHWAY! It will be at a snail's pace. Ride the train.
I don't think I will be going anywhere out of town. I suspect there will be business as usual on Columbus Day at the Electronics Center out behind Yongsan Station. I would consider a foray out there just for shopping around.

Al Pope wants to do the Korean War Museum- I'll go out tomorrow and see when or if they will be open this weekend.

I love this idea. Put me down for next spring! Only two more weeks of sand and sun for me. Then I change my location from "deployed" to Texas. One step closer to coming back.
