You have seen the SPAM-"Get Satellite TV Free on your Computer!"
Well, I read them all, from a one time fee- $39.95/ or $67.50 never pay again-ever!! "No monthly fees" World wide channels from all countries, all languages!! "It is true !" Well (again)- It is true! But I have searched around and found a way to get it free! Yep, its true! Go to this website - http://mediahopper.com/ 1. click on the country. 2. then the station. 3. if a popup comes up with a screen, see if it plays or not. 4. You may have to download windows player or another if you don't have one. You may have to open Active X. You may have to click on "Website" or "Stream" and experiment until you get a picture. 5. Hint- go to "USA' and get practice with an English speaking site first, Unless you are Korean, or read another language. Another Hint- don't click on SPONSORS until you learn how to get the channels. Do that later. Foreign sites can be different. 6. (I had to follow directions and "Join" before I got the Arirang Channel.) It is in English, but you have to look for the word ENGLISH, upper right. 7. Put the websites in your Favorites, and save whatever station info there also, so you can return easily. After some practice, you can watch two or three at once! (Turn off the speaker slide switch on the ones you don't want to hear.) All channels are not on all the time, but you really can see most all that is out there. I know, because I've worked in the "Free to Air " Satellite Business. To do it big time, you need a special satellite receiver, antenna, etc. But this is a lot of fun using only your Computer. Today I watched TV from Myrtle Beach, SC, Turkey, Sweden, Cambodia, China, and Korea. OK-it is NOT full screen, but the sound is great, there is radio and best of all -don't pay me $39.95 or anything! (Just press the THANKS button when you see my posts!) Any questions-leave them on the Yongsan Forum for me! Any hints to make it easier, I'm open. ![]() |

Are there any FTA enthusiasts in Korea? Can you pick anything up if you set up a dish and hook up a receiver? |

Willy:
I once contacted an LDS site in Korea before I came to Seoul. I talked to a guy who seemed to know a lot on that subject. I have made no successful attempt in contacting him here. Mostly because I have been lazy, or busy with my other hobbys. I tried to get info from a local Korean Installer, but he is so interested and busy installing Skyvision and making a profit that he has no interest in talking to me. It would not be in his best interest to encourage FTA. PM me & we'll get together. |
