I ate at the New Thailand Restaurant the first week it opened and got a 30% discount :) I tried their yellow curry and it was better than Sawatdee's (imo).

Excellent - I haven't had that since I left Eglin AFB in 1993...sad but true.

I'll definitely take the family to check this place out sometime this week...thanks for the update!

Are we talking about Chang Pwuck? If so, I can tell you that it is an Awesome Restaurant. The cooks are Thai (not Korean's acting like Thai's) and the food is just like when I was working in Thailand. Not bad on the prices either. I perfer it to the Phillippino restaurants in Songtang. Not to say they are bad, I feel you get a better selection for your money.

No, this is the Thailand Restaurant just above Volvo Miltary Sales. Here is the ad I built for them.

Thailand Ad

I am scheduled to build the Chang Pwuck ad this week. Both restaurants serve excellent Thai food, cooked by people from Thailand. I will have a restaurant review done on both of them this week. It's the battle of the Thailand Restaurants!

Mike

Where is the Chang Pwuck restaurant located? We tried the Thailand restaurant and although the food was good, I personally thought that for the prices, the portions were not that big. The only other complaint I had (and this was my fault) was that the beef salad wasn't spicy enough - I told them to give me a "3" in hotness on a scale of 1-5 because I didn't know how hot a "5" would be. The "3" was almost bland (but then I like spicy food). My daughter had the fried rice and it was excellent, my wife had some kind of seafood dinner but it came with veggies with like 5 or 6 shrimp and she was a little disappointed because she thought seafood meant...seafood, not just shrimp.
I don't know, maybe I'm just spoiled because I like going to the mom and pop restaurants in the market and you can chow down for under 5,000 won :)

Nomad,

Thanks for the input!

Aly, will be doing a restaurant review this week on Thailand Restaurant and you can rate it 1-5 stars. Did you call them about 3 weeks ago? I think I was in the Restaurant when you called (if you did).

There are two other Thai restaurants in Songtan, owned by the same woman. I will be building them an ad this weekend. If you remember the old Spoon Restaurant, it is now a Thai place. It is very nice inside and the service is great. I eat at both restaurants a few times a month and they are both very good. I am a wimp when it comes to spicy food though so I order a 1 or 2 on the spice level!
