Video shows executions, life inside North Korea
CNN Presents produced a segment on life in North Korea. They have a video on their website showing one of the executions. See the video here. It is great timing as the South Korean government is ignoring human rights' abuses in North Korea in the name of the 6 Party Talks. The video shows a man getting executed by a fire squad. His crime was helping people cross the border into China. Here is an interesting fact:
"Human Rights Watch has estimated there are 200,000 political prisoners inside North Korea; Pyongyang denies any camps exist." Of course if you ask the Korean youth, they will tell you Kim Chong il is a great leader and should be praised for his efforts at reunification. What is extremely disturbing is that the U.S. use of white phosphorus in Fallujah is on the front of most South Korean news papers and not this story of human rights' abuses in North Korea. Here is the main story on OhMynews, the most popular internet news site for the Korean youth. The baby seals need to wake up or the North Korean club will be coming down hard on them in the future. ![]() Last edited by mike : 11-18-2005 at 12:36 AM. |
