Re: .mil sites
I've the same problem here at (near) Osan. I can no longer get into any of the army sites in Germany unless I go "anonymouse". I have no problems hitting AF sites worldwide, Army sites here in Korea, but when I try to hit an Army site in Germany I get the "webpage not found" error. That is, of course, unless I go anonymouse. I've definitely noticed a huge, huge, difference from the way Korean internet companies operate v. the ones I was used to in the States and Germany.

Re: .mil sites
I had that problem a couple times while at Osan, but it only lasted a couple weeks. Hopefully it'll start working again soon.

Re: .mil sites
Can anyone explain to me how to get around this? We live on base at Yongsan and with the KT internet service I cannot access any of the Army websites (or even the MWR site for TV channel listings), it comes up "Website not found". However I can get into the website for Osan. Can someone explain to a "computer illiterate" how I can get around this? Thanks!

Re: .mil sites
It wasn't working for me over the long weekend.. I don't know what it was.. it was asking for password and user name. Today they are working fine, I have no idea what's going on with them, but it is definitely a pain.

Re: .mil sites
I saw an article in the paper that there was a computer glitch (pop up box for username and password) over the weekend. The problem didn't get fixed til Wednesday. I'm able to access the Humphreys site as of yesterday. Try again and see what happens. (Friday Stars and Stripes, page 5)

Re: .mil sites
It may have something to do with the server blocking certain ranges of IP addresses from accessing it due to previous attacks from certain IP's.

Yongsan paper said it was a glitch-but has been fixed. Not intentional.
I have today posted local websites on the Yongsan forum. The Seoul computer Club welcomes new members every second Saturday at the USO outside Gate 1 at Yongsan. All ages, all interests- good info from gurus. I'm not a guru, but I'll be there. Always an interesting speaker. No ID Card required- schoolteachers and locals welcome.
