I'm sure many of you guys (and gals) have noticed the gallery of Beautiful Korean Women mike has made up. Among one of the most popular would be "Shin Mina". Well, I have to add a correction...it's actually "Shim, Mi Na".

She may be younger, but she's been around longer; therefore, our favorite Mee Nah still has to refer to this young one as a "Sun-Bae" (senior)

I think the correction for her name should just be "Mee Na" or "Mina"...that's how the Koreans know her. "Shin, Mina" is the younger girl and how everyone knows her (even though it's not her real last name) .

I have actually seen a few of Shin Mina's movies. You are correct in the name errors. Shin Mina the 2002 Miss World Cup is actually Shim Mi Na, but that is not how English speakers know her. I have seen her talked about on 4+ sites and no one refers to her as Shim Mi Na. I am sure the Koreans do, but none of the Americans know her as that.

What I can do is place both names into the gallery. I would rather be correct than simply going with the crowd. This is a good post and when I get the time I will make the changes to the Shin Mina gallery. :)

That's funny...everyone I've spoken with always refer to her as "the Korean chick with the big (pair of) " (kidding!)

But I think we should correct the spelling. Or it'd be like how we make fun of "Konglish".

Now you have my curiosity piqued- so I 'm going to look for pictures of "the other Min Ah."

The other Shin Mina is very attractive and an excellent actress. I don't speak Korean, but from the movies I have seen she is very good. I will build a gallery later.
