SSG In Kunsan gets sliced

Hey all, did you har about the SSG in Kunsan who was get sliced open walking back from a bar. He is pretty bad. Nobody knows who done this but they were not American from his discreption

I have pics of this poor guy, they left him for dead and with these wounds i have not idea how he made it.

I'll only post these pics if Mike or one of the other mods say it is alright. They are open wounds looks like they had a box cutter or extremely sharp knife. They are pics of him in the emergency room after being cleaned up but no stitched up.

Although the pics you're talking about have been attributed to a Ssgt in Kunsan, they are not. It's an internet hoax. If you do a search you'll note it doesn't appear on any SP blotter report nor is it reported in any news. I saw the pictures last month and there was clarification stating it was a hoax. It's unknown where the pictures originated.

I wouldn't post the pics if they may not be real. When did this happen? Anyone have the story? Also, I am moving this to the Kunsan forum.

There is no story mike because it was made up...
I got the pics from someone in Kadena... when I asked where they got it from, they found out that it'd been a hoax and there hadn't been a knifing attack in Kunsan.

Ah! Ok I understand now. I thought the story was true, but the pics were a hoax.

I can show you the pics, they're pretty gruesome.
That's why I was surprised I hadn't read anything about it in the news... and I plow through a LOT of news through the day.
So researching further, I found out the story was bogus.. but the pictures look too real to be doctored.

O.K. first a few questions for you Bob, i'm not trying to be a smart a$$ either.

But you say check the SP blotter. Can you tell me how you can check the blotter by searching? on the internet? Those are FOUO you cannot go to google and google that, and going further the only people that see the blotter are MP's or the CSM/BN Commander or the people involved.

Are you a MP?

As for the news thing when do you ever here about something like this happening to a Soldier? YOu never hear about a Soldier getting hurt but you always hear about a Soldier doing something to a Korean.

Saying everthing i said, i'm not saying it's true or false. I would like to hear more from you Bob. Can you give me a link or the e-mail that you recieved saying that it is a fake?

PM me and we will swap pictures to make sure we are talking abou the same thing.

I WOULD LOVE TO send this back up the cahin saying SORRY but this is BS!!!!!!!!

As Mike said-no pictures needed here, as it could lend credence to the story, even if it was false! FOUO and OPSEC are to be protected here at all cost.
Strange story.

It does seem that the Korean Press is quick to tell if a GI does something stupid, but the GI's continue to do stupid things. And news folk want to sell papers, for sure! Making up those stories is a sick joke.

Just a military term to reduce rumors , etc. certain things get this title.
Anyone can put it on any correspondence that is best held close for whatever reason. Like a voting commission won't want results to get out
until all the voting is over.
